Who We Are

Our Foundation

Founded in 1991 by Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim A. Stamm, Tiferes Miriam was created to support students facing challenges in traditional schools. Over time, we recognized a need in the community for students who didn’t quite fit into traditional or special education settings—those who thrive in a mainstream-style environment but require extra support and smaller classes. In response, we tailored our program to provide these students with the individualized care and attention they need to succeed. Our passionate, experienced team is dedicated to empowering each student to reach her full potential.

Tiferes Miriam is a place where every girl matters. By providing personalized attention in a supportive setting, we help students feel capable, confident, and ready to achieve success in and beyond the classroom.

OUR APPROACH

At Tiferes Miriam, we see the incredible potential in every student and help her uncover it. With a maximum of 10 students per grade, we provide personalized instruction tailored to each girl’s learning style and needs. Our small, supportive environment fosters meaningful relationships, ensuring students feel seen, heard, and understood. By building confidence and focusing on their strengths, we empower our students to take ownership of their growth. With this approach, we are often able to accelerate learning, helping students catch up academically and prove to themselves—and the world—what they’re truly capable of.

BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

At Tiferes Miriam, we ensure our students enjoy all the highlights of high school—activities, trips, and events that create opportunities for connection, fun, and growth. These shared experiences allow students to form friendships across all grades, giving them more social opportunities and helping them build real connections with their peers.

Our Student Community

At Tiferes Miriam, we proudly serve a diverse group of girls from various communities, including Brooklyn, Crown Heights, Staten Island, Queens, Far Rockaway, the Five Towns, Monsey, and New Jersey. While they come from different backgrounds, all of our students share the same goal: to learn and grow in a warm, nurturing Bais Yaakov environment.
